Wombourne Blinds – Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 01.01.2026

Welcome to Wombourne Blinds. These Terms & Conditions govern the sale and supply of all products and services provided by Wombourne Blinds. By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Orders & Quotations

  • All quotations are subject to confirmation and acceptance by Wombourne Blinds.

  • Orders are considered confirmed once accepted in writing or once a deposit payment has been received.

  • All products are made-to-measure unless otherwise stated.

  • Prices are based on costs at the time of quotation. We reserve the right to adjust prices before delivery where increases occur in labour, transport, material costs, taxes, or overheads beyond our control.

  • Any changes requested after order confirmation may result in additional charges and extended lead times.

2. Deposits & Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Blinds: 50% deposit required upon order confirmation. Remaining balance due on installation.

  • Plantation Shutters: 75% deposit required upon order confirmation. Remaining balance due on installation.

  • Outdoor Shading Products / Awnings / Pergolas: 75% deposit required upon order confirmation.

  • Commercial / Contract Orders: Payment terms as agreed in writing.

We accept payment via bank transfer, card payment, or cash unless otherwise agreed.

Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 5% above the Bank of England base rate until payment is cleared.

Failure to make payment may result in:

  • Suspension of installation or delivery

  • Removal of goods where legally permitted

  • Recovery action for outstanding balances and associated costs

3. Surveys, Measurements & Installation

  • All measurements taken by Wombourne Blinds during a survey are the responsibility of Wombourne Blinds.

  • Measurements supplied by customers are accepted entirely at the customer’s risk.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring:

    • Safe and reasonable access to the property

    • Adequate parking arrangements where possible

    • Electrical supply availability for motorised products

    • Working areas are cleared before installation

Additional charges may apply where installation cannot proceed due to restricted access, unsafe conditions, or delays outside our control.

4. Delivery & Lead Times

  • Delivery and installation dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

  • Lead times may vary depending on supplier availability, manufacturing delays, customs delays, or transport issues.

  • Wombourne Blinds shall not be liable for delays outside of our reasonable control.

  • Customers must accept delivery or installation within a reasonable timeframe once goods are available.

  • Additional charges may apply for:

    • Refused deliveries

    • Failed installation appointments

    • Storage

    • Re-delivery visits

Unless agreed otherwise, disposal of packaging and old blinds remains the customer’s responsibility. Optional removal service available from £175.

5. Cancellations & Returns

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, bespoke and made-to-measure products are exempt from cancellation rights once manufacturing has commenced.

  • Orders may only be cancelled with written agreement from Wombourne Blinds.

  • A cancellation or restocking fee may apply.

  • Third-party or specially ordered products are strictly non-cancellable and non-returnable.

  • Returns are accepted only where goods are proven defective or incorrectly supplied.

6. Product Warranty

Wombourne Blinds provides a 12-month workmanship and installation guarantee unless otherwise stated.

Manufacturer warranties may vary depending on product type.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Fair wear and tear

  • Misuse or accidental damage

  • Damage caused by improper cleaning or maintenance

  • Damage caused by third-party alterations

  • Battery replacement for motorised systems

  • Cosmetic changes caused by sunlight, humidity, or environmental conditions

Any warranty claim must be reported within a reasonable timeframe after discovery of the issue.

7. Motorised & Smart Products

  • Motorised systems may require charging, battery replacement, software updates, or Wi-Fi connectivity.

  • Smart home integrations including Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri, apps, or hubs rely on third-party systems and internet connectivity.

  • Wombourne Blinds cannot guarantee continued compatibility where third-party providers change software or hardware functionality.

8. Risk & Ownership

  • Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery or installation.

  • Ownership of goods remains with Wombourne Blinds until full payment has been received.

  • Goods must not be resold, altered, or transferred before ownership passes.

9. Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of defective products at our discretion.

  • We are not liable for:

    • Indirect or consequential losses

    • Loss of earnings or business interruption

    • Delays outside our control

    • Minor colour or material variations

  • Nothing within these Terms excludes statutory consumer rights under English law.

10. Child Safety

All blinds supplied by Wombourne Blinds comply with current UK child safety legislation including BS EN 13120 where applicable.

Customers must ensure safety devices remain correctly installed and used after installation.

11. Force Majeure

Wombourne Blinds shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Severe weather

  • Fire or flood

  • Pandemics

  • War or civil unrest

  • Supplier failure

  • Transport disruption

  • Strikes or labour shortages

  • Utility failures

  • Government restrictions or legal changes

In such cases, obligations may be suspended, delayed, or cancelled without liability.

12. Privacy

Customer information is handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and will only be used for order processing, communication, and business administration purposes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
