Heat Reflection

From a domestic conservatory to the biggest tower block or factory unit, excessive heat from the sun can be a major problem to occupants, leading to discomfort, lethargy and even dangerous levels of heat.

Solar films reject up to 79% of the sun's energy, whilst still allowing clear vision out of a building. Further more, energy costs can be reduced significantly by the reduced requirements of air-conditioning units in the summer and heat-retention in the winter.

Glare Reduction

With an ever increasing number of pc’s and television screens, glare is another major problem in the modern world. Installing a solar film can reduce this glare by up to 86%, improving productivity and reducing discomfort and eye strain for users.

Appearance

Desks, computer cables and personal belongings can make even the most modern of buildings appear untidy and cluttered. A solar control film will give an instant and dramatic improvement by providing a uniform appearance. There are colours available to match any requirement such as striking blue or green and modern silver.

UV Fade Reduction

Solar films significantly reduce the incidence of fading by blocking around 99% of Ultra Violet light which is the main cause of fading. Heat and visible light are also major factors with regard to fading- both of which are reduced by the application of a solar control film.

Heat Retention in the winter

Solar film also works really well in the winter. When you switch the heaters on a lot of the heat just filters out through your windows. Our products can reduce this waste by upto 66% creating both a warmer environment and also a much more cost efficient process at the same time.

The low-e coating on these films help reduce the loss of room heat during the heating season. One way that heat is lost through the windows during the heating season, is that objects within a room are warmer than the surrounding outdoors and the objects in the room will then radiate heat towards the cooler outdoors.

For windows that are non Low-E, much of this absorbed heat is still radiated to the outdoors. The Low-E film coating does not absorb a significant portion of this radiant heat and reflects much of it back into the room.
